International Shipping Policy
It is the policy of DDB Unlimited to provide proforma sales quotations for international inquiries using one of the following Incoterms® as defined by the International Chamber of Commerce. Procurement, costs, risk, and title transfer is set forth by Incoterms® 2010.
EXW - Ex Works – Incoterms® 2010
Mode of Transport: Any, as many modes as required
Delivery Condition: The Seller places the goods at the disposal of the Buyer at the seller's premises or at another named place (i.e.,factory, warehouse, etc.).
Rules for Quote (Quotation): [currency] [price] EXW [named place of delivery] Incoterms® 2010.
Example of Quote (Quotation): $150,000 EXW, 2100 Bloor St. West, Toronto, ON, Canada, M6S 5A5,Incoterms® 2010.
Point of Risk Transfer: Specific point within the named place of delivery.
Point of Cost Transfer: Specific point within the named place of delivery.
Packaging: Seller’s responsibility and cost.
Export Clearance & Security: Buyer’s responsibility and cost.
Inspection: Buyer’s responsibility and cost, if required.
Loading: Buyer’s responsibility and cost.
Carriage: No obligation to arrange but buyer’s cost and responsibility if requested.
Insurance: No obligation to arrange but buyer’s cost and responsibility if requested.
Import Clearance & Security: Buyer’s responsibility and cost.
Unloading: Buyer’s responsibility and cost.
Notification: The Seller notifies the Buyer when and where the Buyer can take the delivery. The Buyer notifies the seller once the delivery is taken.
Documentation: The Seller has no obligation. The buyer must provide the Seller with the proof of taking delivery.
CPT – Carriage Paid To – Incoterms® 2010
Mode of Transport: Any, as many modes as required.
Delivery Condition: The seller delivers the goods to the carrier or to the person nominated by the seller at an agreed place if any such place is agreed between the parties (address).
Point of Risk Transfer: Specific point within the named place of delivery.
Point of Cost Transfer: Specific point within the named place of destination.
Rules for Quote (Quotation): [currency] [price] CPT [named place of destination]Incoterms® 2010.
Example of Quote (Quotation): $150,000 CPT, 2100 Bloor St. West, Toronto, ON, Canada, M6S 5A5,Incoterms® 2010 Packaging: Seller’s responsibility and cost.
Export Clearance & Security: Seller’s responsibility and cost.
Inspection: Seller’s responsibility and cost, only if the inspection is mandated by local authorities.
Loading: Seller’s responsibility and cost.
Carriage: Buyer’s responsibility BUT Seller’s cost.
Insurance: No obligation to arrange but buyer’s cost and responsibility if requested.
Import Clearance & Security: Buyer’s responsibility and cost.
Unloading: Buyer’s responsibility and cost, unless unloading cost is included in the contract of carriage.
Notification: The Seller timely notifies the Buyer when and where the goods have been delivered. The Buyer timely notifies the Seller the dispatching time and the point of taking goods.
Documentation: The Seller must provide the Buyer with the transport document. The Buyer must accept transport document.
FCA - Free Carrier – Incoterms® 2010
Mode of Transport: Any, as many modes as required.
Delivery Condition: The seller delivers the goods to the carrier or to the person nominated by the buyer at the seller's premises or at the named place (address).
Point of Risk Transfer: Specific point within the named place of delivery.
Point of Cost Transfer: Specific point within the named place of delivery.

Example of Quote (Quotation): $150,000 FCA, 2100 Bloor St. West, Toronto, ON, Canada,M6S 5A5, Incoterms® 2010 Packaging: Seller’s responsibility and cost.
Export Clearance & Security: Seller’s responsibility and cost.
Inspection: Seller’s responsibility and cost, only if the inspection is mandated by local authorities.
Loading: Seller’s responsibility if named place of delivery is on its premises and Seller’s cost.
Carriage: Buyer’s responsibility and cost.
Insurance: No obligation to arrange but buyer’s cost and responsibility if requested.
Import Clearance & Security: Buyer’s responsibility and cost.
Unloading: Buyer’s responsibility and cost.
Notification: The Seller notifies the Buyer when and where the goods have or have not been taken by the carrier. The Buyer timely notifies the Seller the name of the carrier. The time one arrives for taking goods, the mode of transport and the point of taking goods.
Documentation: The Seller must provide the Buyer with the proof of delivering goods to the named place and transport documents. The Buyer must accept the proof of delivery.
